The Optical Ability is used to write a prescription for the patient. This ability will allow the user to set up options for both eye wear and contact lenses. Use the History tab to quickly see how the patient's vision is processing.

Optical: The Optical node holds all optical prescriptions for either all patients or just the selected patient.
Contact Color: This reference adds drop down options for Contact Color.
Contact Lens Company: This reference adds drop down options for Contact Lens Company.
Contact Lens Name: This reference adds drop down options for Contact Lens Name.
Contact Lens Type: This reference adds drop down options for Contact Lens Type.
Contact Material: This reference adds drop down options for Contact Material.
Frame Collection: This reference adds drop down options for Frame Collection.
Frame Company: This reference adds drop down options for Frame Company.
Lens Color: This reference adds drop down options for Lens Color.
Lens Material: This reference adds drop down options for Lens Material.
Prescription Tab: The Prescription tab contains the fields that print on an optical prescription.
Comments: additional notes about the prescription; will appear on the printed prescription
Provider: the ordering or prescribing provider
Office: the office from which the prescription originated
Incident: the corresponding incident in the patient's overall record
Dates: the examination date, the prescription date, and the expiration date
History Tab: The History tab displays the selected patient's past visits.
Eye Wear Tab: This tab allows the user to indicate the specifics of a glasses prescription.
Contact Lenses Tab: This tab allows the user to indicate the specifics of a contact lens prescription.
Select Form Popup: toggles the paper form used for the prescription
Print Rx: prints out the current prescription
