Manager - Postal Codes

The Postal Codes manager is located in the Managers ability and can be used to add batches of Postal Codes quickly into MacPractice.


In the Master Postal Codes area there are filters to assist locating a particular Zip Code. The list can be filtered using:

  • The Country popup menu
  • The By State popup menu
  • The Search feature
Once the desired codes have been located, they can be added to the database one of two ways:

  • Select codes by using the Command-A keyboard shortcut to select all codes at once; highlighting one code and holding down the Shift key to select another code above or below the first highlighted code; or holding down the Command key and clicking on the desired codes. After selecting the postal codes, add them to MacPractice by dragging them to the Current Postal Codes list.
  • With the codes selected by using the Command-A keyboard shortcut to select all codes at once; highlighting one code and holding down the Shift key to select another code above or below the first highlighted code; or holding down the Command key and clicking on the desired codes clicking the Add To System button will place the codes in the Current Postal Codes area.
When the codes in the Master Postal Codes fields are added to the Current Postal Codes pane, they are automatically saved to the City State Zips node under the References ability.
