Networking - Check the Operating System Privileges

To create MacPractice backups, the Operating System user must be a member of the MacPractice_backup user group. Within the Apple () menu, select System Preferences and click the Users & Groups icon.

Click the lock in the lower left corner of the System Preferences window to make changes to the groups. You will be prompted for an administrative user's username and password. This is the username and password for the computer, not for the MacPractice application. MacPractice will not have this information.

Under the Groups node, select macpractice_backup. Add all users that will need to create or access MacPractice backups to the macpractice_backup group. After the groups have been set, you may need to restart the computer in order for all changes to take effect.
