Patient Check In App for iPad - Login

To check in to an appointment, the patient will search the Patient Check In App for the appointment by tapping the name field to enter either (or both) the first and last name on the Welcome screen. The patient will then tap the Check In button to locate the appointment.

The patient appointment will be found if it is within sixty minutes before or after an appointment. If the appointment is not found, or if two possible appointments are found, the patient will be asked to instead check in at the front desk. After 5 seconds, the Patient Check In App will return to the Welcome screen to prepare for the next Patient Check In session.

When the appointment is found, the patient will be presented with his or her full name, age, and the last four digits of any phone numbers as listed in the Patient tab in MacPractice. The patient will tap the Check In button, where the information is correct, completing the Patient Check In process. The patient may also tap the Incorrect button, at which point the patient will be asked to instead check in at the front desk. After 5 seconds, the Patient Check In App will return to the Welcome screen to prepare for the next Patient Check In session.

Once a patient has tapped the Check In button to check in to the appointment, the patient will see the Checked In screen on the iPad and the appointment status will change to "Checked In" for any staff to see within MacPractice. After 10 seconds, the Patient Check In App will return to the Welcome screen to prepare for the next Patient Check In session.
