Portal - Corrections

The Corrections tab can be found by selecting a patient from the main screen of the patient portal. The purpose of this tab is to allow the patient to request corrections of clinical information to their account.

This tab will allow the user to see when corrections have been approved or denied. Corrections that are highlighted in green have been approved. Corrections highlighted in red have been denied. The correction is still open and pending if the line item is not highlighted.

The patient can click the Request a Correction button to create a new order in MacPractice. This order will automatically assign to the patient's provider. (If there is no Provider set on the Patient tab, it will be assigned to the Provider on the Account tab.) When creating a new correction, the patient is required to enter in a subject and a message. Once complete, simply click Send Message to send the correction to the provider.
