Overview
Percentage of Patients 19 years of age and older who had a primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in the year prior to the reporting period and who had an outpatient encounter during the reporting period.
A patient will be in the denominator when they have all of the following:
- An age of 18+ years
- A Primary Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) Procedure added up to a year prior to the Start Date of the reporting period.
- A visit during the reporting period.
A patient will be in the numerator when they have all of the following:
- A Functional Status Assessment for Knee Replacement LNC code added or imported as a Laboratory Order with a Received Date less then 90 days before or on the day of the TKA Procedure
- An additional Functional Status Assessment for Knee Replacement LNC code added or imported as a Laboratory Order with a Received Date between 270-365 days after the TKA Procedure
A patient will be in the exclusions when they have either of the following-
- A Fracture - Lower Body diagnosis with an Onset Date prior to their TKA procedure
- A Severe Dementia diagnosis with an Onset Date within your reporting period
