EMR & EDR Section Editor 8 - Progress Note

 

Elements are the building blocks of EMR Templates. Templates are composed of EMR.

Sections and Sections are composed of Elements. Navigate to the Section editor by clicking on the purple node titled, Form Sections. Click the green plus to make a new Section or select an existing Section.

Start by naming the Section in the palette. You are allowed to set up the details for this Section such as height and color. It is recommended to include important Sections in the navigation. Once the Section details have been set, navigate to the Form Elements.

The Progress Note is used to record large amounts of text while using Macros to enhance your entry speed. Select the Progress Note from the optional Elements. Click and drag to position and size the Progress Notes. Be sure to give the Progress Note a name as this will dramatically help when we switch to the narrative side of the form. Click on the Edit button to make new Macros for the Progress Note. Simply click on the green plus to add a Title to the left field. With the new entry selected, write the bulk text into the right column. Continue this process until all of the Macros have been created. Keep in mind that these Macros can also be made during the patient visit. Simply click the dropdown box to use an existing Macro.
